Our Journey
The Story Behind WAJ
WAJ was born from a simple realization: despite Egypt's unmatched archaeological wealth, most of its treasures remain invisible to the world. Physical museums can only display a fraction of their collections. Scholarly knowledge stays locked in academic papers.
Founded in 2024 by a collective of Egyptologists, technologists, and digital artists, WAJ has grown into the largest open-access digital repository of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, architecture, and texts ever assembled.

Chief Curator
Egyptologist with 25+ years excavating across the Valley of the Kings. Former director of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
